Chris Nolan trained as a classical singer and pianist in Australia and Singapore before studying musical theatre. He has worked extensively throughout Australasia and the UK as a performer, musician and MD. Credits include roles in Australian productions of Oliver! The Marriage of Figaro, The Pirates of Penzance, and the Broadway production of The Sound Of Music. More recently he appeared with the Singapore Lyric Opera as a lead baritone in John Rutter’s The Wind in the Willows and The Reluctant Dragon.
As pianist or Musical Director, Chris’s overseas credits include Jacques Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris, Scrooge, Georgette – The Musical, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Urinetown and I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change. Since relocating to the UK Chris has worked as a dep keys player on several musicals around the country as a freelance MD and music tutor. He has more recently been MD for Mountview Academy on Into the Woods, Half a Sixpence and The Secret Garden.
