About Us

Associated Studios Australia is a leading Drama school specialising in Musical Theatre training at the highest level, renowned for training the Musical Theatre stars of the future. It is the sister school to one of Britain’s leading performing arts academies, based in London.

Associated Studios Australia offers full-time and part-time courses, and is committed to the training and continued professional development of both aspiring and established performers. In addition to our courses, Professional Development workshops run throughout the year, lead by eminent industry professionals.

As a central part of all courses, students work with leading theatre practitioners including directors, vocal coaches, musical directors, repetiteurs, agents, casting directors, producers, choreographers and well-known performers. Students not only gain from the wealth of knowledge and experience of such industry luminaries,  but also develop valuable professional contacts.

Students of the British Diploma in Musical Theatre, have the opportunity to perform a showcase to an invited audience of Australian agents, casting directors and industry members, thereby facilitating auditions and work. On completion of their training in Australia,  advanced students are invited to audition to continue their studies at Associated Studios London, culminating in a West End industry showcase.

Associated Studios Australia prides itself on its ethical approach to performance and artistic learning, and provides a safe, supportive and private working space in which performers can work and develop.

Why train with us

Associated Studios is a small and prestigious Drama school. Class sizes are limited to 20 students. Most Dance classes are streamed to cater for movers and advanced Dancers. Students have frequent opportunity to perform as soloists.

Associated Studios has produced a string of West End leads due to its commitment to excellence and rigour in the training of young voices. With a reputation for training performers who can excel both as exceptional vocalist and as Actors, alumni are a step ahead in professional auditions.

Associated Studios cares about its students. Students enter into an ongoing relationship with the school and after graduating, come back for advice, to have lessons or to connect with Staff and Students.

Associated Studios prides itself on its ethical approach to artistic learning and provides a safe, supportive and private working space in which performers can work and thrive. We build your confidence whilst developing your talent.

Associated Studios is not just a Drama school, but a place where creative projects and philanthropic outreach projects happen. The Principal, Staff and Students have volunteered at Feltham Young Offenders Prison, at Crisis Homeless Charity and have organised performances for the wards at St Mary’s Hospital. A handful of bursaries are offered annually to exceptionally talented performers who cannot afford Drama school. Other creative activities include new writing workshops, open mic nights, seminars with industry luminaries and more.

Associated Studios is run by the industry for the industry. We understand current trends in the Performing Arts and ensure students have an up-to-date Audition portfolio, are exposed to top agents and casting directors, understand entrepreneurialism and audition etiquette.

Associated Studios is based in a beautiful three-storey terrace in the heart of Kensington & Chelsea, just near the bustle of Portobello market. Latimer Rd is a street full of artists and theatre. Our building has a warm and creative atmosphere filled with light, music and creatives. It also offers a visually beautiful environment in which the Principal and Management team are always ready to help.

“Nothing could have prepared me for the sheer volume of talented performers, directors, conductors and tutors I worked with throughout my time on the opera course with Associated Studios.”
