Acting & Musical Theatre Sundays Associated Studios is holding an Audition Technique workshop with Gloria Onitiri as part of our series of weekly Acting & Musical Theatre workshops on Sunday the 2nd November 2pm – 5pm. This group session with Gloria will take the form of a mock audition. We would ask participants to prepare a Musical Theatre audition song that you would like to perform. Gloria will give you friendly and helpful tips on vocal technique and performance skills and it a great opportunity practice, perform and expand your repertoire.
About Gloria Onitiri
Gloria Onitiri is fresh from starring in the hit musical The Bodyguard as leading lady Rachel Marron in the Adelphi Theatre. Other credits include Nala in the Lion King (Lyceum), Anne in Egusi Soup (Regional Tour), The Tempest for Adrian Noble (Bath Theatre Royal), Charlotte in Charlotte’s Web (Polka Theatre), Dionne in Hair (Festival Ljubljana), Sheila in Takeaway (Theatre Royal Stratford East), Arion in Cressida Brown’s Amphibians (Bridewell), Simone in Been So Long (Young Vic), Aisha, Juliette and Violca in Dacia Maraini’s Hurried Steps (New Shoes), understudy Mrs T, Girl Bear, Kate, Lucy and Gary Coleman in Avenue Q (Noel Coward), Bacchae in The Bacchae (National Theatre Scotland), Miss Sherman in Fame (Dutch Tour), Morgan Le Fay in Pendragon (Northcott, Minack, Edinburgh Festival Theatre and Japan Tour) and Sylvia in The Dreaming (Northcott and Linbury Studio, Royal Opera House).
For the acting through song session, If you don’t wish to sing you don’t have to. There is much to be learned from observing other students work. Observation tickets are only £10.00
