Ross Hannaford

Ross first appeared in professional musical theatre over 20 years ago playing the role of Tiny Tim in Scrooge at Melbourne’s Princess Theatre. Most recently he was the Resident Director of the international touring production of CATS.

Ross received rave reviews for his portrayal of Princeton/Rod in Avenue Q at Her Majesty’s Theatre Melbourne. In 2015 he received a Green Room Award nomination portraying Tobias Ragg in The Victorian Opera’s production of Sweeney Todd. He also played the role of Skimbleshanks in the Australian tour of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s re-created CATS.

His previous credits include Paul in A Chorus Line, James in Beyond Desire, King Kong, Wicked, We Will Rock You, Theo in Pippin, Colin in The Secret Garden and SHOUT! His Production Company credits include Clarius in Camelot, Junior in Little Me, Thoroughly Modern Millie & Sweet Charity.

Ross choreographed and starred in ‘Cheek to Cheek’ playing Fred Astaire in the 2017/18 Australian tours. Ross is a graduate of the VCA Music Theatre & the VCA Secondary School. He is also a recipient of the prestigious Solo Seal Award from the Royal Academy of Dance and a finalist of the inaugural Rob Guest Endowment. He has further pursued his love of the arts through creation, choreography, teaching and directing.
