Scott Hendry

Scott trained in Musical Theatre at the W.A. Academy of Performing Arts. Credits as a performer include the musicals Sunset Boulevard (Regent Theatre, Melbourne), Crusade, The Wizard of Oz (Australian Tour), Chicago (Australian and Asian Tour), My Fair Lady, Eurobeat (Australian Tour), The Full Monty and various concerts. He was Assistant Director on Damn Yankees, Kismet and The King & I for The Production Company at The State Theatre, Melbourne and Resident Director on the Australian tour of Eurobeat. Scott’s directing credits include Dear World, Now & Then, Choices (workshop), Cy By Cy By Cy, and Queen of Broadway. He has also work extensively as a publicist for the theatre/entertainment industry on major musicals, tours, concerts and events around Australia. In 2013/14 Scott worked as part of the Mass Choreography team on the Opening Ceremony of the Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia. He returned to Moscow in 2015 as Assistant Director on Singin’ In The Rain and was then Resident Director for the 2016/17 Australian tour and Associate Director for the Tokyo 2017 season. He was Assistant Director Protocol and Parade on the 2018 Commonwealth Games Gold Coast Opening Ceremony and Associate Director of Aspects of Love at The Hayes Theatre, Sydney. Scott has directed/lectured in Musical Theatre at several training schools including VCA, APO, National Theatre as well as Associated Studios Australia (2019-2021). Scott toured Australia in 2019 as Company Manager with Dame Edna: My Gorgeous Life and also Artist Manager on Opera Australia’s Opera For The People in 2020, again with Barry Humphries.
