Sharon Davis

Since completing her actor training at The Victorian College of the Arts, Sharon has worked extensively throughout the industry in theatre, film and television. With over 15 years experience working in both commercial and independent sectors, and having toured to almost every metropolitan and regional theatre in the country, Sharon brings passion, depth, and humour to every project.

Sharon is a fierce advocate for Australian artists and their unique stories both in her artistic work and her active role as Victorian Vice President of Equity. She is an active member of the National Performers Committee and the Equity Wellness Committee and devotes many hours to ensuring performers and the wider industry are valued, informed, and protected in their work.

Her recent collaboration with Lab Kelpie as director of Katy Warner’s play Spencer, has led to her also joining their artistic leadership team as Literary Manager. This has presented her the opportunity to fully explore and develop her instincts as a director and dramaturg of new Australian work.

Recent theatre credits include Alone Outside a one woman show for Lab Kelpie, Alice in Crazy Brave for Branch Theatre Co, Titania in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Olivia in Twelfth Night and Beatrice in Much Ado About Nothing for Essential Theatre’s Shakespeare in the Vines national tour, Holly in Next Fall by Geoffrey Nauffts, and Helen in Australia Day directed by Jonathan Biggins.
