Susannah Gidley

Susannah has enjoyed a successful career as a performer and teacher in the performing arts industry for over 15 years. She has performed extensively locally and in the UK. Susannah recently returned to Melbourne after several years living, performing and teaching in London. She has worked professionally in opera, musical theatre, corporate groups, cruise ships, bands, outdoor theatre and as a recording artist.

Susannah graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Music (Honours in Classical Voice) and a Bachelor of Arts. She has trained in musical theatre at conservatoriums in New York and London (alumni of Associated Studios London). 

As a vocal coach, Susannah is passionate about how the human voice functions. Susannah works with her students to ensure an intricate understanding of the physiology of the voice and how it translates into excellent vocal technique as well as enriching their performance skills through a holistic approach to confidence, musicality and connection to the material. In addition to teaching voice to young adults and tertiary students at various institutions, Susannah is currently heading up the vocal team at the Victorian State Schools Spectacular.

Susannah has a busy private voice studio, working with students from beginners through to professional singers. Her students have been seen in shows on London’s West End and here in Australia.
